From director Brian Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men) comes the long awaited return of the Man of Steel to the silver screen. In this new take on the caped wonder, Superman (played by newcomer Brandon Routh) returns to Metropolis after being away for five years. But everything is not as he left it, his city is overrun with crime, Lex Luthor (played to the hilt by the talented Kevin Spacey) is out of jail and scheming his new plan and even Lois (Kate Bosworth) has moved on. She even has won a Pulitzer Prize for her article “Why the World Doesn’t Need Superman.” It is up to Krypton’s last son to make the world believe in him again and to foil the evil Lex Luthor before his nefarious plans come to fruition. A fantastic group of actors round out the cast including Frank Langella (Dave) as Daily Planet editor Perry White, James Mardsen (X-Men: The Last Stand), Sam Huntington as Superman’s pal Jimmy Olsen, Kal Penn and the always lovely Parker Posey. An action-packed comic book come to life, you are sure to believe a man can fly.
